Croydon test centre has closed

The Croydon site stopped running driving tests in October 2024, after unsafe concrete (RAAC) was found in the building. DVSA moved its tests elsewhere, so there is nothing to list or swap here any more.

Booked "at Croydon"? Your test happens at the venue on your booking confirmation, not here. Sign in to your booking on GOV.UK if you are not sure where that is.

Swaps are local by law, so these are where learners near Croydon list and swap now. Other DVSA centres may sit closer; we add centres as learners join.

A test booked here before it closed still moves the ordinary way. What a driving test swap is, and how long every centre is waiting.

Croydon: questions

Why did Croydon test centre close?

The Croydon site closed in October 2024 after unsafe RAAC concrete was found in the building. DVSA moved its tests to other venues rather than reopening it.

I have a test booked "at Croydon". Where do I go?

Check your booking confirmation email or sign in to your booking on GOV.UK: DVSA lists the actual venue there. If in doubt, contact DVSA well before test day rather than guessing on the morning.

Can I still swap a test near Croydon?

Yes. The swap rules work from whichever centre your test is actually at. The nearest centres on our board are Mitcham, Morden, West Wickham, and each has its own page showing what is listed there.
