    How the five are picked

    The question of the day

The same one for everybody, and it does not come round again until all 555 questions have.

    What you missed comes back

Get one wrong and it is back tomorrow. Get it right and it stays away longer each time, until you know it.

More of the test as it gets close

Months out, a bit of everything. In the last month, more manoeuvres and show me, tell me. In the last week, mostly show me, tell me.

    Questions people ask

    Is the daily quiz free?

Yes, and you do not need to sign up to play. Five questions a day, marked as you go, with the reason for every answer.

    How are the questions picked?

One is the question of the day, the same for everybody. Up to two are ones you got wrong before, back for another go: a wrong answer returns the next day, and a right one stays away longer each time. The rest are new to you, and the closer your test, the more of them are show me, tell me and the manoeuvres.

    Do I need an account?

No. Your streak and what you got wrong are kept in this browser. Sign in and they are kept with your account instead, on every device, and you can have the question of the day emailed to you each morning until your test.

    Can I stop the emails?

Any time. Every daily quiz email has a one-tap stop link, and you can untick the box on this page or in My swaps. The emails stop by themselves on the day of your test, and pause if you have not played for a week.
